If we don't look after our health, physically and mentally then at some point it will catch up with us.
We don't need to be obsessed with the gym or never eat what we fancy. But if all we eat is junk and we never work out then we will not look and feel our best. We will also not function at our best.
I see young girls, lots of make up, big eyelashes, some even have filler and botox, but then they are eating a burger, drinking fizzy drinks and have never been near a gym. So on the one hand they are obviously interested in how they look, but on the other hand they aren't actually looking after their health.
While we are in our teens and early twenties we can often get away with this. Youth goes a long way to preserving our health, looks and even how we feel. But once we reach our thirties then it will start to catch up.
Almost everyone I know that isn't happy with their bodies in their thirties and beyond, have not really taken good care of themselves. We need to start young, and stay consistent.
I am not suggesting we never eat a burger or that we have to go to the gym every single day. But if we do the complete opposite then we just are not going to feel great.
If you take good care of your skin i.e eat well, drink lots of water, don't smoke/vape, limit alcohol, work out and have a decent skin care routine then there is a very good chance you will look and feel so much better in your thirties, forties and beyond than if you don't.
If you don't do all those things, all the filler, botox and tweakments in the world won't make up for it.
Don't forget your mental health too. Take the time if you can for a bit of you time, read a book, go for a walk, do some yoga, have a relaxing bath. Whatever it is that relaxes you. We are all busy but do try and find 20 mins in your day to do what you need. Workouts can be at home if needed. Skin care does not need to be expensive. Water is about as cheap as it gets as drinks go. Healthy foods do not need to be pricey.
All this is so important and I really feel it gets so neglected these days.
