Make a list of what you need - and try and stick to it.

Shop better but shop less.

Shopping on impulse is often fun and sometimes you will find some amazing pieces. But you can also eat through your budget really fast too. The temptation to buy lots of very inexpensive items especially if you are on a tight budget can really get in the way of getting some great pieces for your wardrobe.

You probably don't need an enormous amount of new clothes etc so sit down and make a list of everything you really want and everything you really need. It can be super high end treats or some more budget friendly options but try and be really precise. Otherwise you can end up buying lots of bits and pieces that you quite like but that maybe don't enhance your wardrobe so won't be a huge help to you.

So for example I would really love to have a Burberry trench coat. But they are super expensive and I will have to find a pre loved one. This means I am always looking on pre loved sites and seeing other things that catch my eye. But if I buy them all then actually I am less likely to have the funds for the trench coat if I do find it.

So sit down and make a list of the things you most want and need, this can change over time but you can remove things and add things. Go online and see what's out there. Make notes of what roughly you might need to spend on the items, prioritise what you need/want most then get hunting. It is fun to look for the perfect item, don't settle for the "it will do for now" items, and in the end you will have your ideal wardrobe.
