Don't let your holiday undo your body goals.

Yes of course you should enjoy the holiday. No one should be sitting there missing out on all the lovely food to try etc. But you do not need to stuff your face all day on a huge pile of unhealthy food. Have it, but not a ton of it. When I say that to people they will often say "oh that's so boring".


But think about it. You have spent the last few months working hard in the gym and on getting your diet on point. It is much easier to gain weight for most of us than to lose it. So lets say you lost 3kg in the last few months. You then go on holiday, relax, eat a load of food and drink more alcohol. By the end of the holiday you could have gained back most if not all of what you lost so then you have to effectively start over again. It might sound unlikely but I have seen it happen a lot.


For me personally it isn't worth it. I absolutely indulge on a holiday, more than I would at home but I don't go mad, I keep a check on it and I get straight back to healthy eating and training when I get home. So enjoy the holiday, indulge in the treats, relax but just keep it all in check a little bit so you don't wreck your achievements.
